Cloth masks or face-coverings are required beginning Monday, Aug. 2, 2021 at all indoor NMSU system locations and offices around the state when social distancing to maintain six feet of distance between individuals is not possible. 

This includes indoor events, unless individuals are more than 6 feet away from one another (although wearing masks at all times indoors is recommended). All attendees are responsible for providing their own mask/PPE. All event hosts and attendees must practice physical distancing by maintaining at least 6 feet (2 meters) distance between themselves and others. All attendees should also follow CDC recommendations for handwashing or using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
