Leadership Programs at NMSU

Mission 

Leadership, Engagement, and Traditions Programs is dedicated to nurturing compassionate and values-driven leaders. Guided by the Social Change Model, we empower students to know themselves, act with integrity, and commit to the common good. Through these programs, we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging, inspire lifelong learning, and prepare our students to make meaningful contributions to NMSU and the Las Cruces community. Lastly, We aim to inspire students to become proactive leaders who are deeply invested in NMSU’s culture and traditions.

Values and Learning Outcomes: 

  • Discuss how to be a leader in the Aggie community and how to shape a caring, respectful, open, and honest community for those around you.
  • Compare and examine ways to further develop new leadership styles, skills, and abilities.
  • Operate as a leader following the Aggie core values: leadership, excellence, accountability, diversity & inclusion, and student success.
